Proposed Amendments to Zoning and Subdivision Ordinances
City staff has prepared draft amendments to the City’s Zoning and Subdivision Ordinances. The Zoning Ordinance includes the City’s land development regulations (for example, permitted uses by zoning district and standards for lot size, building height, and required yard and setback provisions). The Subdivision Ordinance regulates the process for dividing or consolidating land into lots.
New Zoning and Subdivision Ordinances became effective October 1, 2016. The proposed amendments are part of the regular review and maintenance of the ordinances. The draft amendments are available for review through the links below or may be viewed in the Community Development and Planning Department office, Room 207 in the City Hall Annex.
These drafts will be reviewed by the City Council and Planning Commission at upcoming work sessions. Public hearings on these proposed text amendments will be held later in Fall 2017. Community members are encouraged to review the drafts and provide input to the Director of Community Development and Planning, Brooke Hardin via email at email@example.com or by phone at 703-385-7821.
