Daniel F. Drummond is serving his fourth term on City Council.
Drummond was appointed by the Mayor and City Council to fill the vacancy in the office of City Council resulting from the election of David L. Meyer as Mayor. (Meyer resigned from City Council to serve as Mayor following the February 7 Special Election).
While on City Council, Drummond served as the City Council representative for the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments Board of Directors, for the Transportation Planning Board and for the Virginia Municipal League finance committee.
He has been a member of the Economic Development Authority, the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board and the 2004 School Bonds Task Force Steering Committee.
The Green Acres resident received a B.S. in political science from Old Dominion University and M.A. in government from Johns Hopkins University.
He and his wife Kerry have three children.
