The Parks Division of the Parks and Recreation Department maintains all parks, public gardens, and trails owned and operated by the City of Fairfax. Within the City's six square miles there are currently over 220 acres of park land comprised of 25 parks with picnic pavilions, playgrounds, athletic fields, and 28 miles of trails. The City's parks also offer other recreational amenities including basketball, tennis, and volleyball courts, and host many City camps, events, and programs. To keep our parks safe, clean and attractive, everyone is asked to follow the Park Rules and Regulations.
Park ADA Policy
The City of Fairfax Parks and Recreation Department will comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), which prohibits discrimination on the basis of disability. The City of Fairfax Parks and Recreation Department will make reasonable accommodations in recreation programs to enable participation by an individual with a disability who meets essential eligibility requirements for that recreation program. The ADA requires that recreation programs offered by the City of Fairfax Parks and Recreation Department be available in the most integrated setting appropriate for each individual.
