In an attempt to better serve the Young at Heart Senior Center community, please find listed below frequently asked questions with answers. If you should find this list non-satisfactory you are welcome to call the front desk at 703-273-6090 and we will do our best to answer your inquiry:

 

What is the cost of membership at the Senior Center?

Membership is free to residents of Fairfax City and Fairfax County. Residents outside of these areas must pay a $50 annual fee or a $5 drop in fee each time they come to the center.

What are the eligibility requirements for membership at Young at Heart Senior Center?

In order to be a member, you must be able to show that you are 55 or older with a valid ID.

What kinds of activities are offered by the center?

A wide variety of programs can be found at the Green Acres Center such as health and well being, art appreciation, history classes, coffee clubs, sports, trips, and even some free clubs and programs.

How do I apply for membership?

There is a singular form that you must fill out at the front desk of the center. YOU MUST COME IN PERSON TO APPLY. NO APPLICATIONS ACCEPTED BY INTERNET OR PHONE
 
Do you provide transportation to and from the senior center?


The Young at Heart Center works with a service known as FasTran. If you are interested in this service, you must be a City resident and apply through the Center.
