The City of Fairfax Police Department has partnered with Off Duty Management to provide services for business owners and community members to hire off-duty officers for security-related services.

Off Duty Management provides customers the following:

  • Online access to information through the OfficerTRAK® software
  • Full liability coverage for the customer, the agency, and the officer
  • 24/7 customer service via ODM's toll-free number
  • Dedicated point of contact for scheduling and invoicing
  • Officer payroll

  • MInimum four hours per request.
  • Requests must be made 48 hours prior to shift start.

Holiday rates apply from midnight to 11:59 p.m. on: New Year's Day, Martin Lither King Jr. Day, George Washington's Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.

Cancellation policy

  • Vendors canceling or reducing assignments with 24 hours of the start time of the assignment are required to pay a minimum of four hours, or 50% of the total hours scheduled, plus ODM administrative fees.
  • Cancellation within eight hours of the start of the assignment or shift, unless as a result of inclement weather, requires payment of 100% of the original shift or hours requested for that day, plus ODM administrative fees.
  • Weekend shifts canceled after 11 p.m. on Friday before the weekend shifts (Saturday or Sunday) must be paid in full, plus the ODM administrative fees.
  • Administration fees depend on the coverage and can range from $7.50 - $ 11.25 per hour.
