The City of Fairfax Police Department launched P.O.L.I.C.E. (Public Outreach Liaisons Invested in Community Engagement) to forge lifelong connections between the community and police department through mutual empathy and respect. 

We connect by exchanging innovative ideas and creating mutual understanding while emphasizing our common humanity.

P.O.L.I.C.E. connects directly with the community at neighborhood and business events and activities, such as:

• McGruff the Crime Dog visits
• National Night Out
• Ribbon cuttings
• Roundtable discussions
• Senior Center programs
• Trunk or Treat Halloween celebration
• Youth group programs
