At this free talk, Susan Inskeep Gray, Director, Office of Historic Resources director, will present the amazing story of Virginian Dr. Kate Waller Barrett’s leadership of organizations and initiatives to improve the lives of women and children. 

A founder of the Florence Crittenton Mission to aid unwed mothers and their children, Dr. Barrett extended her influence to suffrage, human trafficking, and other progressive movements in the early 20th century.
