What is Stormwater?

Stormwater is rain and snowmelt that flows over land or hard surfaces, such as paved streets, parking lots, and building rooftops, and does not soak into the ground.

What is a Floodplain?

Floodplains provide a broad area that allows floodwaters to spread out and temporarily store excess water. This reduces flood peaks and velocities and the potential for erosion.
