All Fairfax County Community Services Board (CSB) sites are open for business.  We have taken precautions to limit visitors at our residential programs. The CSB is encouraging all individuals to call ahead, as we are actively performing COVID-19 screenings on everyone who enters a site.

A global pandemic is a very stressful and challenging times. The CSB is recommending everyone follow Psychological First Aid principles during this time.

  1. Establish a safe place for you and your family. Stay informed but limit your screen time.
  2. Maximize self-care and the care of those closest to you. Put intentional plans in place that reinforce caring for yourself and others.
  3. Normalize the parts of your life that can be: Eat healthy, follow good sleep hygiene and exercise.
  4. Maximize and facilitate connectedness to family, friends and other social supports. (Electronic rather than physical)
  5. Clear communication: Foster hope and optimism while not denying risk.
