The Ashby Pond Dredging & Retrofit project includes removing accumulated sediment and upgrading the pond to reduce future erosion and increase its pollutant removal capabilities. Public Works is at a point where we would like to share these plans and project details with the public and receive feedback. 

Please join us at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 29  at the Stacy C. Sherwood Community Center to learn more about the project and provide your feedback. The City of Fairfax is working with Kimley-Horn on the plans for this project, and the design team from Kimley-Horn will be there to provide a short presentation and answer questions.

         Meeting topics will include:

• Why this dredging & retrofit project is necessary
• Benefits of the project
• Design & construction schedule
• What to expect during and after construction
