Brass Quintet

Formed in 2022 by Steve Shin and Dereck Scott, Ensemble 29 is a dynamic and energetic brass quintet featuring some of our areas most talented and active musicians and educators. Formed with the purpose of providing high quality entertaining concerts, Ensemble 29 performs music that ranges from traditional brass music to music from film, jazz, and pop.

Join Ensemble 29 as we set a WESTERN HEADING, taking you on a musical journey from our earliest brass origin points in Italy to the sweet and cool sounds of Dave Brubeck in California. This evening’s program will also feature selections from Leonard Bernstein’s “West Side Story”, Bruce Broughton’s “Silverado”, local composer Kevin McKee’s exciting “Escape”, and much more! Our program represents our desire to provide audiences with a stylistically diverse and exciting musical experience that is accessible and fun for any audience!
