Save our trees!

Tree lovers of all ages are invited to help restore our urban forest by removing invasive vines from trees at Kutner Park — join us at the Invasive Plant Removal Event from 1-4 p.m. Feb. 26 at the park, 3901 Jermantown Rd.

Parking is available in the adjacent park parking lot, and volunteers will meet at the park pavilion with Fairfax City's Urban Forester Anna Safford.

All volunteers must attend a brief instructional introduction at 1 p.m. — and guidance will be provided throughout the event.

Please wear and bring:

• long-sleeved shirt
• long pants
• closed-toe shoes
• gloves
• hat
• water bottle
• clippers (if you have a pair), tools will be available.
