The public is invited to the open house from 5-7 p.m. July 12 at WillowWood Plaza I, where Fairfax City staff will introduce proposed plans for the Chain Bridge Road Shared Use Path.

This project will construct a missing link of path on the west side of Chain Bridge Road between Assembly Drive and Northfax Street (formerly Orchard Street).

The new trail section would connect north to the shared use path being constructed as part of the Eaton Place/Chain Bridge Road intersection improvements, approved by City Council on April 11, 2023. The trail would connect west to the on-road bicycle lanes being constructed on Northfax Street and south to the new path being constructed as part of the site redevelopment.
