The City of Fairfax 2035 Comprehensive Plan, which is the basis for many policy decisions particularly regarding the physical development of the city, was adopted in February 2019.
As we are coming up on the five-year anniversary of this plan, the Code of Virginia requires the city review it to determine if any changes should be made. A lot has happened over the last five years — and we are excited to update the Comprehensive Plan, but we need to hear from YOU about what has worked, what hasn't worked, and what our priorities are.
Please join us at the Comprehensive Plan Review event on Oct. 5 to provide your input on any and all aspects of the plan.
Topics include land use, neighborhoods, commercial corridors and activity centers, community design and historic preservation, multimodal transportation, natural environment, sustainability initiatives, economic vitality, education, parks and recreation, cultural arts, government and public safety, and infrastructure and utilities.
