The City of Fairfax is in the process of developing its first-ever Urban Forest Master Plan (UFMP). Public input is critical to ensure that the UFMP responds to the needs of both the City and its residents. Public Meeting #2 will be a visioning session where attendees will discuss challenges, opportunities, and community involvement. Takeaways from this meeting will shape the UFMP’s goals and recommendations.
To engage as many people as possible, Public Meeting #2 will have an in-person session and a virtual session on separate days; these meetings will cover the same information and activities.
The meetings will start with a brief welcome presentation, followed by “stations” where attendees will discuss the urban forest’s challenges, opportunities, and their experiences as members of Fairfax’s community. The stations will also include interactive mapping and voting activities. The meetings will wrap up with a summary of takeaways from the stations.
