Virginia Income Tax

One of the unique services provided by the Commissioner of the Revenue in the City of Fairfax is Virginia Income Tax assistance.

The Commonwealth of Virginia imposes an income tax on any person who has maintained a residence in Virginia for more than 183 days. The Commissioner and his staff are available to assist all City residents in completing their annual income and/or estimated tax returns. The Commissioner and his staff perform an initial desk review of the returns prior to delivery to the Department of Taxation.
