Background
The applicant proposes to develop 10641 Fairfax Boulevard with a new show room building and continue the vehicle service and vehicle repair building at 10595 Warwick Avenue and 10601 Fairfax Boulevard. The applicant also proposes additions to the building at 10595 Warwick Avenue to allow for electric vehicle servicing and repair. The applicant proposes to continue to use the building at 3700 Farr Avenue as administrative offices and proposes to improve the parking lot with landscaping and reconfigured parking.
Requests
The applicant is requesting two special use permits for Vehicle Sales and Leasing and Vehicle Service. The applicant is also requesting four special exceptions: to allow parking in the required front and side yards, to remove the distance requirement between two vehicle sales and leasing establishments, to locate street trees more than 15 feet from back of curb, and sidewalk placement along Farr Avenue. This land use application is subject to a Major Certificate of Appropriateness for architecture and landscaping.
