Greenfield 2023

Jeffrey C. Greenfield is serving his thirteenth term on City Council. He previously served on the Fairfax City Council from 1994-2018.

Greenfield previously served on a number of boards and commissions, including Northern Virginia Transportation Commission, Northern Virginia Transportation Authority, Local Emergency Planning Committee, Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments (COG) Board of Directors, COG Metropolitan Development Policy Committee, and the COG Human Service and Public Safety Committee. 

A member of the 1993 Bond Referendum Task Force, he also served as vice chair of the Fairfax 2020 Commission and was a member of that committee's Economic Development Subcommittee. He served as vice chair of the Park and Recreation Advisory Board and was vice chair of the Task Force for a More Livable City of Fairfax. 

Greenfield, a small business owner, is a lifelong city resident. A Fairfax High School graduate, he received both his B.A. in political science and his M.P.A. in public administration from George Mason University, and is the first Mason alumnus to serve as a councilmember.

He and his wife, Lisa, have one daughter.
