Old Town Square sits adjacent to the historic Old Town Hall in the heart of Old Town Fairfax. This addition to the city enhances the Old Town area with its visual appeal and wonderful features, as well as plays host to many city events including Rock the Block, Derby-Q, Fall Festival and Festival of Lights and Carols. The park also hosts numerous concerts and entertainment events.
Blending the old with the new, Old Town Square features some of the traditional beloved landmarks of the Old Town area such as Kitty Pozer Garden and the Fairfax Rotary clock, along with a new splash pad, cascade water feature, pergola, McCandlish Memorial Garden, and much more.

OLD TOWN SQUARE PARK RULES
Old Town Square is open all hours unless otherwise restricted by the City of Fairfax.
- Activities by park visitors must be orderly and lawful.
- No person shall refuse to obey any lawful order of an authorized city employee or representative.
- Park visitors shall comply with all officially posted signs.
- No illegal gambling.
- No fireworks or explosives.
- No damaging or removal of any city property.
- No use of abusive, threatening, or profane language.
- No skateboards, scooters, or inline skates allowed.
- Dispose of litter in proper trash or recycling receptacles.
- No camping or sleeping.
- All devices that produce sound must be in accordance with City Code Section 38-1 and as otherwise provided by law.
- No beer or alcohol except when permitted by the City of Fairfax and the Alcohol Beverage Control Board.
- No begging or soliciting.
- No urinating or defecating except in portable restrooms.
- The city is not responsible for any property that is damaged, destroyed, or lost.
- All unattended property is presumed to be abandoned and may be removed and/or destroyed by the city.
- Dog owners must comply with city leash laws.
- No animal excrement shall be left or deposited in any park except in a proper trash or dog waste receptacle. If none is available, the animal owner must remove waste anyway.
- Having fun is permissible and highly encouraged.
