The infield on Field 4 at Providence Elementary School was renovated by Premier Sports Fields, Inc. The infield mix was graded up for re-use, the existing turf was then ground-up and tilled in for organic matter. Additional compost and topsoil were then trucked in, spread, and tilled in.

Thanks to the generosity of Fairfax Little League, irrigation was then installed by Hydro-Tech Irrigation. The infield was then laser graded and sodded utilizing an athletic field fescue mix. In December the infield turf was covered with a turf growth cover that will help the sod establish before practices begin in late March.

Parks staff removed the old existing fencing along the 1st and 3rd base lines. Again, thanks to the generosity of Fairfax Little League, a new backstop and fencing were installed by Long Fence.
