For public roads within the City of Fairfax:

City of Fairfax Public Works Department
  • pavement, snow or drainage: 703-385-7980; TTY: 7-1-1; email (6:00 am to 2 pm weekdays, excluding holidays)
  • traffic signals or signs: 703-385-7987; TTY: 7-1-1; email (6:30 am to 3 pm weekdays, excluding holidays)
  • street lights are maintained by Dominion Virginia Power.  Report streetlight outages to Dominion Power by calling 1-866-366-4357 or on their website www.dom.com  If you have an exact location and pole number, you may contact the street division and they will report a street light issue to DVP - call 703-385-7980; TTY: 7-1-1 (6:00 am to 2 pm weekdays, excluding holidays).
  • For emergencies evenings, weekends, holidays: 703-385-7924; TTY: 7-1-1

Asphalt Repairs and Potholes

Report pesky potholes in the City of Fairfax by calling, 703-385-7810, or email. Or you may contact the asphalt crew supervisor at 703.385.7979 or by email or 703.385.7980 or by email.
