Project Description:Paving

The repaving program provides for the overlay of existing streets. This process first involves milling, which is the removal of a portion of the old asphalt to allow the overlay to tie in with the existing curb grades. Milling on main roads occurs across the entire road to remove old and deteriorated asphalt. Property owners will be notified prior to paving to move cars onto driveways. Most work is completed within a day so access should be restored to properties at the end of the day. If more extensive work is required such as driveway entrance replacement, you will also be notified concerning property access. The goal of the paving program is to pave main roads every 12 years and residential roads every 23 years.
