Project Description: 

The Hill Street connection is a project that will utilize existing city right-of-way to create an off-street connection between the Fairchester Woods neighborhood and the Fairfax Marketplace shopping center. The concept plan that was developed considered the following three main criteria:

1. Safety and Security
2. Accessibility
3. Aesthetics

This project was initiated by the Fairchester Woods community and subsequently endorsed by the City Council. The City Council directed staff to proceed with design at their October 14, 2020 work session.

Project Location: 

This project is located on the Hill Street dead end at the intersection with Fairchester Drive, in the Fairchester Woods neighborhood.
