Picnic pavilions are available for public use and enjoyment year-round at numerous Fairfax City parks and are available on a first come, first served basis unless a permitted reservation is scheduled at the time.

Reservations may be placed on a first come, first served basis due to limited availability, and require payment of all applicable rental fees at the time of reservation in order to secure a permit. Please Note: Reservations cannot be placed over the phone.

Rentals of park picnic pavilions include private, permitted use of:

  • Pavilion
  • Picnic tables located within pavilion Relocation or removal of picnic tables prohibited
  • Nearest outdoor park grill Charcoal and supplies not provided
  • Nearest trash receptacle Trash too large to fit inside the receptacles provided is the responsibility of the renter for removal and proper disposal

Electricity is not available at park pavilions at this time.

Pavilion Hours
  • Daily (Monday through Sunday)
  • 8am - 1pm and 2p - 7p
  • Full Day rental available with purchase of both AM and PM blocks

Rental Process

  1.  Choose Pavilion
  2.  Check Availability (We do not allow reservations within 4 days of paperwork submission)
  3.  Submit a Written Application with Payment or use our online ActiveNet system to reserve directly
  4.  Submit Requirements for Special Rental Add-ons
  5.  Receive Permit
